I made a backup of my database.

Installed PostgreSQL fresh at my harddrive.

Then created a database through HM.

Restored the database.

-----

In the process of restoring the program said it had ignored 131 errors.

-----

Tried to import from a large file and didn't work. All the hands where import errors.

Made a new database, and it imported correctly. So the problem is at the restored database.

The restored database may have from 1-2 million hands.

-----

What can be the problem?

Thanks,

dardo

Were the 2 versions of Postgresql different? Sometimes newer versions of postgresql don't like backups made from older versions. Best thing to do is continue with the new DB and export hands from the old DB if you don't have them elsewhere

Yep it's what I'm doing, exported all the hands and now I'm importing them to a new one. It seems to work so far.

The version was 8.3 all the time.
