Today when I tried to start HEM i got this pop up instead "An error occured on startup --- Can't read the file DeployLxLicensing.v3, Version 3.2.2000.0 ---" etc and something about a module that cant be found. I've tried reading the forums and also uninstall and reinstall HEM, still can't open the propgram. Any suggestions?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Also please try this:

1. Update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug
3. Open HM
4. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file

I followed the 4 steps but it's still the same. Maybe I missunderstood the text file, what should it include? Now it's just an empty document. I both tried to name it LicDebug and LicDebug.txt, didn't seem to matter though. I also restarted my computer.

By the way I use Windows XP.

Maybe I should add that I couldn't reach point 4 because I couldn't open HEM after I created the text file. I deleted it anyway but as I suspected it was in vain because I couldn't open HEM in the first place..

1) Open your Internet Explorer and go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections and click on "LAN-Settings" at the bottom.
2) Uncheck every box in the small new menu and click ok.
3) Try to register HM again.

If that doesn't help, please post the entire error details using [HTML] tags (<> icon)

They were all unchecked already. Don't understand the last thing about HTML and tags.

I didn't find the first file but the second was removed. When I installed the patch I got several error messages:

The package was unable to replace the following file: C:/Program/RVGSoftware/HoldemManager
/DeployLX.Licensing.v3.dll
/DevComponents.DocNetbar2.dll
/HMHud.exe
/HoldemManager.exe
/textboxhook.dll

And I still cant open HEM

The error message that pops up says (It's not exact because I have to translate some parts in Swedish):

"An error occured on startup: Can't read the file DeployLX.Licensing.v3, Version=3.2.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PubicKeyToken=798276055709c98a or one of it's dependencies(maybe not the proper word, but it's in Swedish). Can't find the mentioned module."

I just sent the file from Logs

When I installed the patch I got several error messages:

Restart/Reboot your computer.... then run the hmupdate again.
It shouldn't give any errors during installation.

The installation worked without error messages after restart but the error pop up message is still there and HEM wont start.

Hi,

It definetely looks like a HM problem so it might need a clean install

Backup your HM settings
FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software - Reinstalling HEM without Losing Preferences (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/99/Reinstalling+HEM+without+Losing+Preferences+)

FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Using Revo Uninstaller (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/126/Using+Revo+Uninstaller+) - Using Revo Uninstaller (uninstall HM with Revo FREE and reinstall it)

Then follow the details in the quickstart guide in my sig to reinstall it

I'm sorry but I didn't work either. Seems like a hopeless case. Can it be something broken in Windows or other program outside HEM?

I can open HM Hud though if that is of any help.

I can also add that the computer and other programs work fine so the problem should be within HEM or any file (in Windows or elsewhere) that is necessary to run the program.

Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Download and run this uninstaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe

Thanks fozzy, now it works. But i get an error pop up when I start up HEM saying: "An error occurred while retrieving file list: ERROR: could not read block 17 of relation 1663/24576/24618: Invalid argument".
And then when I open the Reports page, the whole lower part of the page where the individual hands ususally shows, is completely blank. Maybe it has someting to do with the error message...

Looks like theres an issue with your database, can you create a new database FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Create / Delete Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database) and reimport some hands and see if the error re-occurs

Thanks
