Hand import speed?

any way for me to increase my hand import speed. I am doing about 20hands per sec..

that avg? good? bad?

and if avg/bad, how do i speed it up?

I would suggest you do the majority of the things in this thread: Top 10: HEM performance increase tips - Holdem Manager Forums (http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11194)

Some of the most important things, imo:

- Remove the WinnerName, WinnerCards and WinnerWon from the Options > Hands View Column Selecto
- Turning off logging and deleting existing logs
- Vacuum/Full/Analyze, then Reindex - FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Vacuum Analyze Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/88/Vacuum+Analyze+Database+#manual)
- Defrag last and make sure you stop the postgresql service before you defrag. I personally use Smart Defrag.
- Do a Cold Boot (Shut Down > Start) before you use HM again

sigh. i did all the steps (except buying a new hd) and its still having problems run this big folder of files.. doing 15/s right now.. but bounces around from 15 to 20/s.

i have winxp latest everything.. running 2gigs ram, Intel Core2 Duo CPU.. got pretty much only HEM running..


i remember, used to doing it at like 30-40/s a few months ago.

oh and got latest version of PostGRES and PGAdmin stuff.. any other ideas? or SOL?

maybe might get another harddrive / ram.. see if that helps.. or format current one..

I am now getting 60-70/s now, with uploading less files (folders) at a time, and not using the auto import as another forum post suggested.
