I had HM working just fine for a long time until I moved from the UK to Norway and the first time I opened HM I got the error message 'Failed to connect to '127.0.0.1''. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I tried unistalling postgresql and reinstalling. While installing I kept getting the error message at the initialise database cluster window 'the spcified data directory is not empty'. This is were I am now and I have no clue how to get HM up and running again. Could someone please help me?

The reason you get that error is because its sees the previous database there so if you just untick "Initialise database cluster" and proceed with the installation it will install fine and use the previous database,

If you happen to get the 127.0.0.1 error again follow this step:

Thnaks for your help. While installing postgresql I now get the error message 'User 'postgres' could not be created. The user account already exists.!'. I've completely unistalled my previous version of postgresql, what do I do? I tried other account names, but then I get 'Interna account lookup failure: No mapping between account names and security IDs was done'.

People have got that internal lookup failure before and i couldnt solve it, the best thing is to google that error and see if someone else found a resolution or go to a PostgreSQL forum where people will be more experienced with PostgreSQL and ask for a solution. I have tried searching for a solution on this before but its beyond my knowledge of PostgreSQL

Thanks again. Do you know how to delete previous account names without actually having postgresql installed. That should solve my problem as I can't find a solution to the internal lookup failure.

C:\Users\

If you cant see it, try enabling hidden folders in the folder options

Uhhm, I was thinking about deleting the account names used for postgresql, ie. usually postgres.

I might be an idiot, but looking at that folder, I get the following folders:

* Default
* My name
* Mcx1
* Mcx1.My name-PC
* Public

How can I get rid of the user postgres so I can use that when installing postgresql?
Thanks for your help!

Which other account names have you tried? Try something like poker (but only on the first page, leave it as it is on the second page!!!), maybe the other usernames were already on your computer in some way

I tried postgres2, postgres3 I think. Now I tried poker which definitely wouldn't have been on my comp. That resulted in the good, old internal lookup error...
