View Full Version : "&" not recognized in Pokerstars Zoom HUD

There is a player on Pokerstars named "Fire&Ice23" for whom the HUD does not work when I am playing Zoom. When I click his stats in order to view the pop-up, the name at the top of the pop-up is "FireIce23", without the ampersand. When I say the HUD does not work, I mean that it is as though I have no hands on him, and he is a new player every time I see him. The "&" seems to be intentionally included for this purpose, though it could just be chance. However, when I view hands that I have played against him in the HEM Replayer, everything works correctly. So, I suspect the problem is just with Zoom.

Came to make the same thread. Have latest update and pokerstars + HEM set to run as administrator, hud works for everyone else but players with & in their names. So far I have this problem with Razd&Cnfusd as well as Luck&skill86
This is seemingly a strictly zoom issue as I've played with both of this players before at normal ring games and their stats showed up. I cant attest to current HEM version working however since I havent been playing normal ring games.

HMONE-64, this bug ticket has a 'fixed' status, I've reopened it (for testing) to test the '&' issue again.

Does your own hero name have an & character, or this happens when you encounter opponents with an & in their name?

Jul28 fix did not work, will try the Aug3rd now. I do not have & in my name it happens only when playing against players with '&'. Everything else works perfectly.

Downloaded that last update and it still isn't fixed.

My own hero name doesn't have an & in the name. It only happens when I encounter opponents with a & in their name, and only on that specific player. For "Razed&Confused" for example it shows "RazedConfused" when I click the hud for the popup where it also displays the name. A player like that doesn't exist so therefore it shows 0 hands. HM/hud just doesn't recognize the & symbol.

We can't duplicate this bug.
Can anyone attach the zoom.txt file from the importing logs - or at least the part of the log file that includes the problem name?

My zoom.txt is 1,5 GB. I can't even open it with any of the text editors because it's too big.

On another note, where can I find the newest beta updates to see if it's finally fixed?

Close HoldemManager.
Delete the 1.5 GB file.

Then play again. And sent us the file (or part of the file) when the error occurs.

Below is a part straight out of the zoom.txt file. It's about the player Razed&Cnfusd in this case. In this zoom.txt it shows up as RazedCnfusd, without the "&" symbol, therefore causing a mismatch.
