need to know the following
-fewest stats as possible
-most important stats for shortstacking cash games 9 handed
-relation in numbers to equate with hand ranges on opponents
-what they all mean

-- what is Abb name again ??

and i also saw something that said the closer VPIP is to number 2 in the top line = the tighter they are and play higher ranked hands etc , cant remember if that was ABB or PFR # .....

Abb name = just the player name in the HUD.

Good HUD for you:

line1: VPIP/PFR/3bet/#Hands (AGG not very important if you're shortstacking)
line2: fold BB to steal/fold to resteal/cbet flop/fold to cbet

If their VPIP & PFR (pre flop raise) are close to each other (15/12) the player is tight-agressive. If there is a big gap bet (20/3) the player is loose-passive.

The lower the VPIP is... the better hands they usually play. a VPIP = 5 player only plays the top 5% of all his hands.

i used some of that color coding but changed some values and i will be tweaking the values and colors probably pretty soon but this is what ive got so far i guess .....

below is my third updated HUD in few days and prolly gonna leave it like this for a bit i guess and see how it helps ...

im kinda tempted to change the black boxes to transparent, thoughts ?

transparent looks really good...
but it all depends on your background and colorcoding. Sometimes the stats are more difficult to read.

If you go with a dark/black background it looks great IMO.

I use Table Ninja also. It can be black as long as it isn't pure black (hex# 000000). You also want to make sure it isn't too close to the color of your action buttons.

Hey Patvs,

Thank you for posting the colour scheme on the previous screen, i'm just getting acquainted with using stats in my game and found this really helpful.

I was wondering if you could tell the different player types the scheme represents please:

i.e. green = fish / yellow = TAG etc.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,
-Steve

This was for 6max...:

RED is what stat should be
ORANGE is still OK
YELLOW is too high/too low but difficult to make money from
GREEN is too high/too low and easy to make money from...

Hey Patvs,

Thank you for your reply.

I mistakenly thought that the colour coding was intended for FR and not SH so i'll just carry on searching ;)

Thank you for your time in replying though,
-Steve

How would you adjust those stats for 9max?

Hey!
I really liked this colourcoding scheme but I have a question. Why is the steal stat green on 0-22%. How do you make money easy on theese? like is it meaning that u fold easy? I think when someone has high steal% its better to have it green cus then u can 3bet them alot and they will fold alot. What u guys think

I believe the idea of the colorcoding (it was from pokernews.nl) was:
GREEN = way too high/low and directly profitable
YELLOW = also way too high/low but not directly profitable (but of course still exploitable)

If you have a player to your right with such a LOW STEAL %, he's not going to steal your blinds often enough = PROFIT (GREEN)

If it's too high, you can 3bet him... but you need the Fold to 3bet stat, to see how he responds to this. If he annoyingly often CALLS your 3bet, it's more difficult to extract money (YELLOW)

Is it for 6max or Fr?

Patvs
01-27-2011, 06:27 AM
This was for 6max.

For fullring, if you look at VPIP, 12-25 would be proper. 25+ too loose, <12 too tight.
