Hi,

I've experienced several 'freezes' of my PC when running HEM. Basically my laptop screen and monitor go 'black' and the laptop stops responding. I end up having to shut down the PC.

It has always happened when I perform a mouse click - e.g. click on a HUD panel or am working in the Player Preferences window.

I have a DELL laptop running XP Professional with all updates. It is a poker only PC so apart from MS Office it has no junk software. The crash has only happened when running HEM and when playing on PokerStars or Full Tilt.

Does this issue ring a bell with anyone? Is there anything I can do to isolate the problem?

Thanks

Which Operating system exactly?
Firewall / Virusscanner

Any other Spyware/Adaware / Tuning programs running?

Any special dell security things?

Does it happen only with 2 monitors attached or with 1 monitor too?

Can you please try to uninstall Zone Alarm for a test (not only deactivating)?

Hi

After the latest crash Windows advised me that I had a video driver problem. IT advised me to go to Control Panel > Display > Settings > Troubleshoot

I had set 'Hardware acceleration' to 'Full'. I have reset it to 'None' - apparently I should do this if the computer frequently stops responding.

I am going to give this a try and let you know if it works.

Thanks for your support.

HI

It's 24 hours since I made the above change and so far now more crashes.

Sorry if I got this wrong but I think the mode I made to Hardware Acceleration might be one of the mods I got from an article on the site on how to improve performance?

Anyway - thanks again for your help
