Unhandled Exception

I installed the latest version and the latest update but the software did not even start at the first attempt. I'm on Windows XP. Heres the message that I get:

Make sure that your XP is uptodate (Service Pack 3, Windows Updates) and you have installed the latest Microsoft .net framework 3.5 SVP1.

I do have XP with service pack 3 and .net framework 3.5 with SP1

please try this:

1. Update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug (so the file you create in the folder is licdebug.txt)
3. Open HM
4. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file

That didnt help. Its still not starting up. and gives the same error message.

Hi,
I suspect since it happened when updating the updated might not have went well. Sometimes this happens when you have hm processes running in the background. Try rebooting and running the update before you run any other programs, make sure your installing it to the correct folder

If that dosent work please reinstall your Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Uninstall your current version with this tool: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Download and install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/6/1/061F001C-8752-4600-A198-53214C69B51F/dotnetfx35setup.exe
3) Try again

I followed the above steps of reinstalling .NET Framework. and I reinstalled Holdem manager after uninstalling it using Revo Uninstaller (did not install postgre again) .. I still get the same error message and does not start.

Im using Mcafee and I disabled SystemGuards as mentioned in the FAQs on here.

Please uninstall Mcafee for a test.

Uninstalled mcafee. And reinstalled both HEM and Postgre, but still gives the same exact exception.

then reboot HM and try again

I got my license key today and installed the latest version of HEM but I still get the exact same error when I start the software.

I got an unhandled exception when I clicked auto-detect and it added two poker sites. It seems to work fine now, is there any reason to think there is a long-term problem?
