just got HEM pro and registered it

then i accidentally deleted the postgres user account in control panel cuz i didnt know where it came from/thought it was a hack accnt so i deleted the user ...

then i re installed postgresQL 8.4 or whatever it was and got it back up and is now an account in my user menu so thats fine

i reset the password for the account and matched it to the HEM password as well . so thats done

earlier i did get all my HHs imported and that worked i assume ..

I still cannot get any HUD working, but now i cannot even start up HEM until it can connect to 127.0.0.1 via postgres and is not working ...

aside from this my windows updater is not working and installing the latest update and says the following :

"If you receive Windows Update error 80070020, the cause might be a that program running on your computer is interfering with Windows Update. This is often a simple timing problem, and it can be solved by restarting your computer and running Windows Update again.

If you continue to receive error 80070020 after restarting your computer and running Windows Update, the interfering program or programs might be running automatically when you first start your computer. In this case, you'll need to restart your computer without running programs that run when Windows first starts. This can be done two ways: by starting your computer in safe mode or by manually starting Windows without start up programs (also known as a clean restart). Both options are described below."

re installed HEM without uninstalling it and now the postgres connection trouble screen isnt popping up which is good BUT

my imported hands arent showing up and when i try to manually import folders and auto import it is telling me that there are no new files found but yet i cannot find where all my other HHs were loaded to HEM in the first place ... if i can get this file path i might be able to save this ???

and no HUD still does not show up as well . . .

this thing is starting to really piss me off and im on the fence of asking for a refund almost if i cant get this up and running in under a week .

HM imports the hands to a postgresql database and moves the originals to an archive for performance and backup reasons.

To setup your poker client and HM check our FAQs - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/categories/Frequently+Asked+Questions/Installation+%26+Setup/Poker+Clients/

If you installed a new postgresql database you will have to import all your original/archived hands and any exported hands you have. If you still have your previous \postgresql\data folder from your previous database, we may be able to reinstall that database. If you play a site like stars/ftp you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney summaries.

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer (start > computer) and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right-click + Properties the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories are in English.

Try the table finder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/Configuring+Table+Finder+to+Show+HUD+

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/119/Warning:+You+have+XXX+Hand+History+Files+in+your+A uto+Import+Folders

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Where are you having pokerstars write the hands? You can NOT have it save the hands to \program files (x86)\pokerstars\hand history. I suggest you leave it setup the way it was or use a folder on your desktop or at the root of your C:\ drive.

If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html

1. downloaded latest beta upgrade
2. FOUND HMArchive Folder and am importing all the HH Files that were moved there apparently ..
3. auto importing of all those files are being done now
4. hopefully by later tonight i can get my HUD working on pokerstars .
5. HUD was working on iPoker, but not yet to my knowledge on FTP so far ...
6. with my HHs being saved to the default pokerstars folder and I have now changed it back to the DEFAULT location WILL MY HHs be SAVED THERE ?

or will all my HHs from now on be moved to the HMArchive Folder for all sites ?
