Hi,

I am getting a new comp to poker. Is there some step by step instruction of how to export/import the database?

I use/will be using windows 7 64bit.
HEM: 1.10.01
Postgresql: 1.10.0 beta 2

Thank you.

"This FAQ details the numerous ways you can Import & Export Hand History files from Holdem Manager"
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands

See the section called 'Export all files' & do this in HM on your old PC - your HH's will go automatically to a newly automatically created folder here on your old PC:
C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\HandHistoryExport_(what you named the database originally)

##################
When you have HM & postgreSQL set up on your new PC you can move these HH across into a folder you've created on your new PC (I would use a memory stick, but I don't have millions of hands) & import into a new DB you have created there (see same FAQ above)

If you have loads of HH's I think the best way is to use a network - but I'm not sure

Hi,

I finally bought a new 64-bit comp; now I am trying to move the HEM DBs.
However, I am getting errors regardless of how I do that (export all hands, export after filtering, backup DB and so on, trying every method explained in the Forum).

I have previously moved the DBs back and forth several times between my old comp and my 32-bit laptop. This has always succeeded without any issues.

I am not a computer guy really, but I did not expect any problems moving txt-format files between the 32-bit and 64-bit HEMs. So are these really incompatible? What else can I try?

Make sure windows is fully updated and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

If you’re doing a clean reinstall or moving HM to a new computer you should consider the following.

We have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/418/Backup+%26+Restore

This is a new feature and there are some compatibility issues with it so if you have any problems you can do this manually by following the instructions below:

Export and Import your Hand Histories and/or backup and restore your database
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup+%26+Restore+Database

Export Your Notes

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback – Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/rakeback-bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/tourney-data-view-01.jpg

See this FAQ http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/26/Registration+Benefits on how to reset your code

And finally

If that doesn't fix the issues, please reproduce the problem and attach a screen shot - Capture a Screen Shot of your Desktop or the Active Window in Windows (http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm)

Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread, to support@holdemmanager.com
