Hey,

I have just finished reading through the threads on luck adjusted EV in the graph tab. However, I am still failing to understand and maybe has to do with the fact that im tryng to figure it out for HUSNG and not regular SNG's.

My understanding was that if you were playing a $100 HUSNG (Prize of $200) and you had one all-in in the tournament where you had 60% equity, then your play would net $120 in the long run. Therefore your play would show a +$20 in EV won whether you won or lost.

----> This would mean for the $EV graph that it would go up $20 regardless, if you lost then your winnings line would go down $100, if you won your winning line would go up $100.

^^^Please correct me if that is wrong (which im prety sure now that it is)

In my actual HEM, here are 2 examples.

EG1: $220husng: I get it in preflop with AQ vs A9 for the match. My equity is 74%. I end up holding and HEM tells me that my $EV difference is -$84.15, with my $EV won for the entire match being $359.55. I dont know how it really comes to this number even after reading other threads.

Furthermore, i dont really know what this means for my graph? I would assume that my $ won goes up winnings-BI so $440 - $230 = $210. My $EV won would go up under the same circumstances but instead $359.55 - $230 = +$129.55.

EG2: In this match ($220HUSNG) i got it in with K6 vs 35 for 1BB at the end of the match. I had 64% equity preflop, and i lost my 1BB and the match. The $EV difference shows +$281.98, which correspons with the $EV won for the match in the upper section of HEM. This makes no sense to me. In the same match i got it in drawing dead and the $EV diff = 0 to get to where i was, which was the actual play that ended the match.

So I guess what im asking is how the hell is the $EV luck adjusted winnings line worked out? I apologise if this is really simple and im being a noob but i been trying to work this out for days.

Thanks in advance.

Here are some basic informations about EV:

The calculations are made when nobody is able to make any more actions and 2 or more people are all-in.

At the moment we are working on a Video explaining this. This will hopefully be released in the next days.

Thanks for replying, i had read all them threads except one, and none of them are specific to husng tournaments. Is there anyone who could answer my questions posted above directly? I mean, i dont want to be rude/pushy or w/e because im sure your busy etc, but after switching over from PT3 after a long time im really failing hard to understand all of this.

Thanks.

I suggest you wait for the Video which will be released soon. If you still have questions after this i will forward this thread to the video producer because he will then be our "expert" for this EV questions.
They are a nightmare for us normal support guys. :)
