View Full Version : really weird bug for 3 days straight now :(

I'm going to have a hard time explaining this, but here's my best shot :)

First of all, I'm on Vista, I obviously run HM and my poker clients on admin, etc

Version: 1.6.03h (1.6.1t HUD)

I only mount my C drive by default (which has all my HM stuff on, posgres etc) and the other 6 drives are encrypted with truecrypt and I mount them whenever I need them.

So here's the thing, on 3 seperate occasions the HUD has stopped working with some destructor error message linking to the f drive which is one of those encrypted hdds I hardly ever mount and it has absolutely nothing to with my HM installation.

After that error message it says it can't save the posprefs file and then when starting HM the next time it prompts that it has to recreate a new posprefs, i.e. I have to setup my panel positions from scratch again. When I close HM to copy my backup posprefs into the config folder, then restart HM again it keeps prompting that it needs to create new ones. There really is no work around for me at the moment it seems.

I have no idea what causes the bug at this point and I cant recreate it. I'll try to grab a screenshot next time it happens... the 3 times I was just scrambling when it happend with 12 tables open, it essentially forces you to stop the session because its pretty much impossible to set the panels while playing.

The same version worked fine for at least 5 days before this bug started acting up, I'm really really confused, any ideas would be welcome :)

BTW the F: drive refers to the source files someone used to make the microsoft libraries I use. It isnt your drive :)

Hi,

I had the same problem the last days (also on Vista).
Tried to download the beta from the link, however after downloading what seems to be a small file (142 KB only), it refuses to start because it "is not a valid Win32 application".

Please delete your temporary internet files and then restart your browser and try again. the files should be about 6mb. ive just double checked it and its definetely fine

I was using Firefox. Instead of deleting my temps (which I hate doing), I downloaded now with IE, and got the 6MB alright. Installed 1.06.03e alright.

But now 2 questions :

- did you know that the colors on the HUD tables are messed up, blurry, almost unreadable for my poor eyes ?

- what is it with the version numbering ? It is like this beta version is previous to the last full version 1.06.03h ?

edit: just rebooted my pc and it immediately happend a 3rd time when i opened HM again, it actually seems to happen more often with the new version than with the old one

Blurry Stats - This should be fixed in the next beta release

That old Beta has a new HUD build, other than that the numbering is fine
