Hi there,

When there is a multi-way pot, and the hero is all in on the flop, while the other two (or more, I guess) players are all in on the turn, the EV that the hero gets in his reports is per the turn.

I.e. Instead of getting the EV on the flop (As should) when all our money was in, we get the last all in EV.

Could be known issue.
If you need any snapshots, pls let me know.

Thanks

+1

I was all in pre flop VS two other guys
I had TT ( tens)
Villain 1 had 44
the other had A2

HM reported that hand as -EV for me when in fact I had 60% equity while they had 22 and 18 respectively.

Thats how it should work.

The calculations are made when nobody is able to make any more actions and 2 or more people are all-in.

Well, maybe that's the way it was designed to work, but it's not the way it should work..

If my money gets in when I'm 50% favorite against two other players, why would I care how much was the EV when the other guys went all in?

More than that, what would be my EV, had the two others just checked it down? there is no all in between them, but I was all in..

Here are some threads explaining Equity and $EV that may help:

I believe I understand what is EV, and what it represents.

From your own definition (first link):
(EV $ Diff (found in the Hands Tab)

This is calculated by taking your equity% of the total pot when you go all in and comparing that to what you actually won.

However, when your R&D explains the differences:
"it is calculated from the point where there are no more actions."

Unfortunately, there is huge difference between the two definitions, and I am afraid the first definition of the EV is the correct one.
More than that, in the hand replayer, the HUD actually indicates the correct EV at the moment the money is in.

Take as example the hand I attached, what is my EV when I go all in on the flop?

Hi guys
I agree with one of the comments above:

I don't care about the other players' EV.

I care about mine.

When I go all in pre flop or even on the flop or turn, My EV should be calculated from where all my money went to the center of the table.

We have had this EV discussion over and over. There is no need to start it again (see Fozzys links).

At the moment it works how it is explained. But for future releases we plan some additions to this so that you will be able to choose the EV calculation you like.
