i tried to do what you said to fix my other problem. now when i open holdem manager no info appears, auto import doesn't do anything. i have zero hands. idk what to do. no idea what the problem is or where to start. I bought full version yesterday and would love to have this working.

Josh p - a polite suggestion... why start a new thread when it looks like you are talking about one or both of these threads you started recently ?

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=25490
http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=25480

More info would be good - why not pick one of the 2 threads above & carry on from there - IN THE RELEVANT THREAD ? :)

because neither of those threads matter now. before my recent hands showed up when HEM was open. now nothing shows up for hands or anything. i don't know how to get back to having at least some hands show up..

that is why i started a new thread.

help would be better than trying to be a smart ass.

Well at least I was a fairly polite smart ass

I'm saying more info would help a solution - site(s) you play, is it tourneys or what ? OS ? are you on 1.10.01 (I guess you've got to be) ?

What do you mean by auto import doesn't do anything ?
Does the 'stop import' button appear ? Does table manager appear ?

Do you mean your old imported hands don't show up at all or is it just new hands aren't showing ?

If no hands show have you selected your name to run reports against - maybe that's why nothing shows ?

* Please try updating to the latest version 1.10.01 final from the link in my signature.

* Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure that holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu under compatibilty.

* If that doesn't help, please check this and answer the questions http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/48/My+HUD+Doesn't+Work

first of all, sorry for soundling like a jackass yesterday. bad day, lost a few hundred that i shouldn't have. anyway......

okay, so when i first got this i started it up and it showed like 20,000 recent hands and 1100 players that i have played against. my hud didn't pop up at my table. Fozzy told me to go into folders and run something as admin but now when i open holdem manager it opens but doesn't show any recent hands, HUD doesn't work, old hands/players don't show up anymore....

what is my first step?

one of you told me to run something else as admin but i don't understand directions on where to go to do this.

what should i do first?

Do exactly what Netsrak says in same order so...

1] Netsrak quote: "Please try updating to the latest version 1.10.01 final from the link in my signature" Which is this one here: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

########################
If that doesn't work move on to this:

... Fozzy told me to go into folders and run something as admin... It's the same as what Netsrak is asking you to do - see below in this post if 1] above didn't work

one of you told me to run something else as admin but i don't understand directions on where to go to do this2] Netsrak quote: "Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure that holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu under compatibilty"

I will try to translate:
If you have Windows 7 or Windows Vista do this if not then move on to 3] below
a) Open up a view in windows of all your folders (this is 'my computer' or 'explorer' - I have windows XP & it's called 'my computer' in mine
This is NOT the same as Start > Programs
b) Follow this path down the tree to find the place Netsrak is asking for
C:\ > Program Files > RVG Software > Holdem Manager
d) Click on the Holdem Manager folder in the left pane of explorer & in the right pane you will see a load of folders & applications etc etc.
e) Find this in the right hand pane: HoldemManager(.exe) [you might not see the part I have put in brackets]
f) Right click on it & select 'Run as...' in the menu that appears set it to run as administrator under 'compatibility'
g) Do the same steps d) e) & f) for DBControlPanel(.exe) & HMHud(.exe)

########################
If that doesn't work move on to this:

3] Netsrak quote: "If that doesn't help, please check this and answer the questions... "
See his link in his post below & just do what it says from the top & if no joy then answer the questions in the link & post them here or email to support

Hope this helps you

Just thinking you might want to try some basic things first

You wrote this: "when i open holdem manager it opens but doesn't show any recent hands, HUD doesn't work, old hands/players don't show up anymore...."

Run Holdem Manager, but don't connect to a poker site or start import

Have you tried clicking the 'refresh' button ?
Have you selected your player name ? just to the left of the refresh button you should see your name next to the word 'player'

*Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

Start > Computer

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Right-click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

*Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

*If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/48/MyHUDDoesn'tWork

i did that and the steps that the other person said above you including the step that restarted my computer. didn't work. the problem started after i tried to do http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=25480 what was said in this post, when i did the thing with notepad. is it that what i took to my desktop is no longer in the original folder or something?

because it had previos hands show up before, hud didn't work but previous hands showed up.
