I've searched the forums for this issue but haven't found anything about it.

I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 and have reïnstalled Holdem Manager. Everything is working fine except every time my Database runs up to several thousend hands Holdem Manager starts to skip files while importing or something. I've tried importing the hand histories manually but Holdem Manager just says it's all duplicate files.

When I then create a new database and select the same hand histories to import Holdem Manager takes them without a hassle.

In example. In my old database, no datamined hands and I've played around 10k hands (well more prob but HM is missing some...) it says for my last session I played a little over 600 hands. In my new database it says I played over 1.100 (which is correct).

The strange thing is, my HUD does seem to show the hands. In example, in my old database, when I filter for a villain (absolutely no filters used and all games selected) my database is showing about 4.6k hands of him. When I double click one of his hands to start the replayer, the HUD in the replayers says I have 5.3k hands on him?!?

Could anyone tell me what's going on?

I've recreated several new databases, same issue every time. I;m using HM 1.10.01. I'me VERY sure I have NO filters used in the reports whatsoever. In Windows 7 & I've disabled the usage rights thingy.

edit: In the PLAYERS tab it is also showing all hands. So HM does import all hands but doesnt use all of them for the reports?!?

Please post some screenshots and try to comment them so that we can understand the problem

Like I stated, when in the reports tab Holdem Manager doesn't seem to use all imported hands for the report, see image below:

http://img40.imagefra.me/img/img40/2/1/30/noturns/t_im5m_c14b2ad.png (http://imagefra.me/view.php?img=/2/1/30/noturns/f_im5m_c14b2ad.png&srv=img40)

Holdem Manager starts "ignoring" hands as soon as my database reaches a size of about 10k hands. Before that there are no issues.

See picture below, you can see here I have in fact played more hands and they do seem to have been imported by Holdem Manager: (Also the HUD seems to be showing all hands)

http://img40.imagefra.me/img/img40/2/1/30/noturns/t_im6m_05446ed.png (http://imagefra.me/view.php?img=/2/1/30/noturns/f_im6m_05446ed.png&srv=img40)

In the sessions tab for my last couple of sessions hundreds of hands are missing. When I create a new database and import the hand histories from the last couple of sessions no hands are missing. But as soon as my database reaches the 10k mark again, hands go missing!

Hope that clears things up.

Is your harddisk full?

Please check this things and post the answers (especially attach the holdemmanager.config file) because we need some more details about your system:

* Please try updating to the latest version 1.10.01 final from the link in my signature.

* Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure that holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu under compatibilty.

* If that doesn't help, please check this and answer the questions http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/48/My+HUD+Doesn't+Work

No my harddisk is not full, I have 80GB+ free (100GB total harddisk). I wouldnt be able to create new databases and run them up to 10k hands if my harddisk where full.

Like I said in my first post, I'm already running 1.10.01

I had already set the files holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and hmhud.exe to rus as administrator. I just rechecked and they are still set to run as administrator.

Also I;d like to point out the issue isn't Everest related. I just played some sessions on Full Tilt and I'm having the same problem. Over two sessions I'm missing about 20% of my hands in the reports (again they ARE showing in the PLAYERS section so the hands must have been imported, the CASH GAMES section simply doesn't seem to use them all.

For the link you provided, I'd like to answer those questions but the problems stated in that link are not the problems I;m having. My HUD is working fine, in fact, my HUD IS showing the hands just my reports aren't.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB

If you still are having problems, Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files(x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config.

- If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager.
- To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button.
- Click this and attach the file.

I have been creating UTF databases all this time, I'll try the ASCII DB and see how that goes. If that doesn't work I'll attach the config file.

edit: cancel that, I'm getting this error:

"The following error occured when trying to initialize the Holdem Manager database: ERROR: 22023: new encoding (SQL_ASCII) is incompatible with the encoding of the template database (UTF8)"

I've attached the config file to this message.

you need to choose template0 when creating a SQL_ASCII database with Postgresql 8.4
