updated, Created new database, import crashes

updated to latest 1.12.10b

created new data base because the last one was soooo slow at importing hands and the hud took ten mins to boot up.

So new db and tried to import hands from file (archive). And it crashes/freezes. 2011 files frozen at the end of import, 2012 files just crashes instantly. Is it because there mined hands mainly?

can you tell if my settings are good from config?

Go over ALL your auto import folders.
Check if there are old handhistory files, that were never moved to the archive folder.
If you find files 'stuck' in the auto import folders. Manually move them to the archive folder.

(especially check if there aren't a lot of files in C:\Users\[usernames]\Documents\HHSmithy)


Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?
Which PostgreSQL version are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates./
