Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Download and run this uninstaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe

During which installation do you get this error?

What is the detailled version of your operating system?

During which installation do you get this error?

When I tried to update hold em manager from downloads.

What is the detailled version of your operating system?

I am running Windows ME and had no problems until I tried to upgrade.

Windows ME is no longer supported by Microsoft. You get no current .net framework for it.
This means that HM doesn't support Windows ME too.

Only older versions of HM will run under ME.

Try this one: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.09.03.exe
Even older versions are here: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=11865

I tried the older version and still got the following error:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

After about 20 hours of research I finally found the golden advice:

Stop dns client service

Same error msg on XP.

.Net framework reinstalled.

Then 'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application'

Stopped the dns client service.

Installed older version linked above and that doesn't work either.
