Player with asteriks in alias not appearing in HUd

I played a heads up limit game on Boss against a player whose alias began and ended with *. Throughout the game his number of hands stayed at 1 according to the HUD while my own count was updating. The hands were imported into the database ok. Haven't seen this happen before - was thinking was there something about the asterisk interfering with the HUD display - seeing as * is often used as a wildcard symbol.

I've downloaded this build and had to enter my serial code and it still says I have 0 days left in my trial! So trying to fix one issue has led to me not being able to even use HM2, maybe that's my cue to youknowwhat and try PT4 cause like many others I am getting completely fed up with HM2. One thing after another after another.
