How to get the current hand data

Hi,

I would like to create a poker tool like an HUD, but i don't know how Holdem Manager for example can get information on the poker sessions (windows) opened on the computer.

Other tools like Poker-Spy can also get our hole cards and the board cards of the current hand in play and display winning % and so on.

How can we get those informations like our hole cards and the cards on the table?

HM reads the hand histories after the hand is over to get it's information. It doesn't read it from the screen.
