I have postgreSQL 8.2 installed and read that I should update to the newest version (currently 8.4) How can I do this?
Can I simply download 8.4 install it to the same directory and everything is setup correctly? Or do I also have to make my databases use the new version?
I now have two folders 8.2. and 8.4 should I uninstall the older version of postgreSQL ?
Some pointers would be appreciated, thanks.
