Hi,

I am stupid! I don't have the first clue about computers.

So my initial problem was the conflict between McAfee & HEM. I *think* I have overcome that one I think as I have got McAfee deactivated at the minute and I got to the create a database tab. Now I have go to this stage can McAfee be turned back on and avoid getting the trojan message? As an aside I tried finding the file the help thread referred to but after using 'run' and the name of my C drive it didn't find anything. So I just rebooted with the protection off and it accepted my registration code.

I am now faced with the following:

I had a trial of HEM but never got going. I had PT I managed to get that working but I was eager to choose HEM and I really want to overcome these problems!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really struggle with anything technical.

I have the same problem with postregress on my windows 7 system

im not able to install postregress 8.3 on it, by the version 8.4 comes the same error as upper.

Close HEM and your anti-virus and delete any \xenocode\appliance cache folders and any other possible false positive files.

1. Enable "Show hidden files and folders" under Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View
2. Go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Xenocode\Appl iance Cache and delete every folder you can find in there

If you are on XP, that location is C:\Documents and Settings\%USERPROFILE%\Local\Application Data\xenocode\appliance cache

Empty your recycle bin.

reboot

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe


You should set exceptions in mcaffee for HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

If you continue to get this, try a reinstall using revo uninstaller.

Try reinstalling postgresql using these steps - Please reinstall PostgreSQL using these steps - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20755


If that PostgreSQL installer fails, uninstall it from the control panel again, and try this postgresql installer - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Postgres_8.3.9-v1.0.7.exe
