HoldemManager can extract all the information from the handhistories.
So if a player plays 80% of his hands, his VPIP will be displayed as 80% in the HUD.

If you're carefully observing the table you'll probably also notice this player is playing almost all his hands. But HoldemManager can go ten steps beyond and extract how this player behaves postflop: does he check-call a drawing hand, reraise a draw, call with middle pair, bets his pair in position, etc. etc. There are stats for almost every situation. Useful stats:

VPIP / preflop raise / agression factor
Cbet, Fold to Flop Cbet, donkbet, fold to donkbet, fold to steal, fold to 3bet, etc.
