changes to session timeout not working

I have followed the instructions to change the HoldemManager.xml file (located here - C:\Program Files (x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config) without any luck. Each time I change the value from 30 to 15...it does not take effect. Then when I check the file again it shows the value of 30 despite the fact that I had saved all of the changes in notepad.

Any suggestions?

One thing to note is that the file icon has a padlock like symbole in the lowe left corner of the icon.

Try rightclicking on notepad and start it as administrator.

Edit the file properties of holdemmanager.config and turn off 'read only'. (right click on the file--> properties).

The edit the file again and save.

When I apply these changes will they be applied to hands retroactively imported...or do I have to reimport the hands?

SessionTimeout is a parameter used for the current session. It will have no effect on already imported hands.
