hi,

I am quite bad with computer things so wondering if anyone can help. I am trying to instal postgre and am going threw the process as it says on HEM website. As I click the last "next" button though it comes up with an error message saying "postgreSQL data directory must be on a NTFS formatted volume"

It then wont start installing, so does anyone know how I solve this and make the data directory of a NTFS format?

thanks

hi,

I have looked at the things you posted but nowhere can I see about the NTFS issue. I really am rubbish with things like this so if you dont mind spelling it out that would be helpful.

Thanks

As explained in the FAQ you need to convert your filesystem to NTFS.

Here is another link explaining it: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456984.aspx
