My friend and I have decided that we should upgrade our game and begin to use HEM; however, because we each use only one computer to play poker, we were wondering if it was possible if we could split the price of the HEM, and since HEM allows up to two computers for installation, if we could each get one computer on the same HEM purchase?

License sharing is not allowed, the license is for 2 of your own computers.

Your friend and you should buy separate licenses.

oh ok thanks.
then can i assume that the "Small Stakes" HEM goes up to 50NL?
so how much would it cost if i was to upgrade from small stakes HEM to a professional HEM?

is there EVER going to be a need for me to have to RE-purchase HEM if i have already purchased it once? (ex. a major update needs a new purchase?)

Small Stakes is up to NL50: http://www.holdemmanager.net/Offering.aspx?ID=2
For the pricing: http://www.holdemmanager.net/purchase.html. In your example 30$

The license is a lifetime license for version 1.x. So if we ever decide to release a 2.x version or HM 2015 or whatever you possibly need to buy an upgrade. But there are no plans for this at the moment.
