Hello

I have a problem with windows 7 and HM. I did everything as I am supposed to do but I have one porblem. I did run DBcontrolpane, HM HUd and holdem manager as admnistrator. If I do this it starst HM and everything seems to work fine. However, If i restart HM and try to auto import the HUd does not start. Additionally, if i try to manually import hands it does not seem to be doing anything. So it seems I am not being the admnistrator anymore. if i do the above process again everything works fine but it is kind of a problem to run everything as admin evertyime I want to use HM

Tnx

Roland

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories are in English.

Hi

I did update to the new beta and still have problems. Like i did before I ran all the mentioned executables as admin. If I do this everything runs like it should juist as it did without the beta. However, if i close Hm en restart it again i get a new problem.

I get an 'unhandeld exception' the specific error is 'the type of initializer for 'Scanner.Form1' threw an exception'

If i press 'continue' it just freezes.

Whatr now?

You did it wrong the first time.

Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Rightclick the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

I get an 'unhandeld exception' the specific error is 'the type of initializer for 'Scanner.Form1' threw an exception'

If i press 'continue' it just freezes.

Whatr now?

Reinstall HM with Revo - http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20816

tnx it seems to be working fine now. Little misunderstanding about the admninistrator part. Did not have to reinstall HM. Doing the running administrator part was enough to make everything work

tnx for the fast response.
