Which Windows do you have?
512 MB will cause a problem when playing 6+ tables. Windows (300 MB) + pokerroom, for example PokerStars 6-tabling (200 MB) + HoldemManager (100 MB) + PostgreSQL (50 MB) already needs 650 MB RAM.
Your computer will use its .page file (Virtual Memory) when it runs out of memory, which is a lot slower.

Also when 8+tabling with running HoldemManager the speed of your harddisk is important. Check the top 10 HEM performance tips thread in my signature.

I have Windows XP. My hard disk is only two years old and relatively fast.

It should be enough for a start - but if you are multitabling or want to have a huge database you will run into limitations.

You can download the 15day trial and test it.
