This is very frustrating. I have had holdem manager for about a year and all of sudden it does not work. I am getting getting message that says no such file or directory and sends me to the Database control panel after I click okay. When I click connect on the Postgres Sql screen it does not seem to do anything. Please Help. I will post if I am able to figure out the problem on my own.

I downloaded the current version or HEM and also unistalled Postgres 8.3 and then downloaded 8.4 and still no luck.

My error is now the failed to establish connection to 127.0.0.1 and when I try to connect to postgresSQl the dialog box says connection cannot be mad would you like to have HEM start the service?

This is driving me crazy. I have reinstalled postgres 3 times. I have my antivirus, spyware and firewall disabled. i have gone through ALL 3 Fixes in their entirety. I am still getting the same error message about being unable to establish a connection to 127.0.01. I have no idea what I should next.

Would reinstalling HEM do anything?

HELP. I'm 7 hours deep just trying to HEM to work.

I just said fuck it and went through the steps in this post:

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20755

My error message is now FATAL:3D000 database holdemmanager does not exist.

I've got hem working though it looks like my previous database is gone.

If you reinstall Postgresql and don't connect to your old database folder (the cluster) then your data are lost.

You can try to reimport the hands from the holdemmanager archive (default c:\hmarchive).
