one HD - 2 mcahiens

I have an HD and HM registered on 2 machines.
How can I use the HD with both computers?
I want to have only 1 database on that HD instead of 2 databases on each computer.

I understand that I need to install postgres on both of the computers but how do I tell HM to connect to the database that is located on the HD?
