Never seen anything like that before... Can you see if this works:

1) Open pgadmin from your start menu in windows under postgresql
2) Double click on the server name and enter your postgresql password (default is postgrespass)
3) Click on Databases and select the current database and open it

I even tried to uninstall and the re-install HM but that doesnt work either.

Does it make a difference if i uninstall Postgress as well?

Hi, something very bad happened to either your postgres database or postgres itself. First try uninstalling and reinstalling postgresql. You might need to uncheck the "initdb cluster" option on one of the screens if it gives you an error stating that a database already exists. If you do this then you will also have to :

1) Open up control panel
2) Double click on Administrative Functions
3) Double click on Services
4) Find the postgresql service in the list then right click and press “Start”

Then try getting pgadmin to open the database again

If it still fails then you'll probably need to uninstall and wipe out your postgresql folder and then reinstall.

If anyone else knows anything about this issue then feel free to jump in

Doesnt work at all. The original problem hasnt aoccured anymore but now HM says that he isnt able to connection to PostgresSQL cant be made and asks me if i want HM te create the connection (Click yes).

Then a popup says the following: Sorry HM was unable to start the service.

Then: HM has started the service, please try again.

But then he doenst work either.

Try restarting the service yourself http://208.109.95.123/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34

And if you get the service stopped and then started message then try this http://208.109.95.123/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=153

However its usually something to do with firewall/antivirus or similar program blocking access to allow PostgreSQL to start
