Hi. I'm still setting up the latest version of HEM on my laptop and I'm not getting any HUD display at UB. The table manager is showing the tables, but nothing's coming up. There are players in my database and the HUD worked with the older version of HEM. Ideas?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe, and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (or later for w7) installed.

I have done all those things. I'm running Vista 64 with UAC off. The hud was working with my older HEM, just not the latest Beta...I did skip around 4 months worth of updates in between fwiw.

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

I recommend you leave UAC on.

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer (start > computer) and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right-click + Properties the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories are in English.

Try the table finder - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=54

*If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The "importing\hud data" folder
4) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.

To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button. Click this and attach the file.

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using eg 1.06.04 Beta 12? How do I find this? EIther way, I downloaded the latest Beta as of 4 days ago

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and which gametype and does the problem occur on more than 1 site? I've only tried this version of HEM on UB.

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button? Yes

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site? Yes

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ? Yes. C:\Poker Application\UltimateBet\HandHistory

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager? Yes

5a) Do they import if you create a new database? Yes. This is a new UTF database that I'm using because the backed up database didn't work. I had to export my several million hands and create a new database.

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work? Yes tried, no it didn't work. No tables are showing up as unattached...and there was no segmented red square

7) If you open the HH are they written in English? Yes

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled? I did until 15 minutes ago. I disabled it and ensured the 3 HEM exe's are run as administrator.

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file? Yes

Not sure what the problem is. Try to remove this erroneous auto import folder that is configured.

<setting name="AutoImportFolderList"....
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live Safety Center\History,True,True,C:\HMArchive
</setting>

Not sure how that got there. I am wondering if our new Auto-Detect configured that folder by mistake. Did you manually configure that folder?

Auto detect did add that folder. I noticed it a few days ago and got rid of it...and autodetect readded it. There are no hh's there...just the Windows Live stuff and a folder/subfolders called History/Results/System.
