Yesterday I purchased HEM and it was working fine, It was running smooth and everything was sound. Today I requested hand histories from Pokerstars for the past year and copy and pasted the files into my programs>pokerstars>handhistory folder. It took 3 hours for it to import everything. I checked my stats to see if it worked, and everything roi%,ITM,time, etc displayed "NaN". After importing all these files I definitely noticed a lag when using HEM compared to yesterday. So i tried going to options>vacuum analyze database, didn't work so I guess I had to do it manually. When I went to enter my password in PgAdmin III I got an error that said "An error has occurred: Error connecting to the server: FATAL: database “template1” does not exist
DETAIL: The database subdirectory “base/1” is missing"
Not sure what to do at this point, please help.

Thanks

Please try to add a server in pgadmin using the connection infos from the Holdemmanager database management.
I think something is wrong with your current server profile in pgadmin.

Btw: how many hands did you import? I don't think a vacuum/analyse will speed it up after running the database only one day.
Please check the other performance tips from the link in my signature.

I tried adding another server to pgadmin and got this error "An error has occurred: Error connecting to the server: FATAL: database “template1” does not exist
DETAIL: The database subdirectory “base/11511” is missing"

Any ideas on the NaN problem? http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/6836/nanq.jpg

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

Did you ask for and receive your 'Tournament Histories/Summaries also? They came attached as .htm files, when they sent me my hands.

For normal day to day play of tourneys:

You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars does not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, like FTP does.

Pokerstars > Lobby > Requests > Tournament History .. > 200

Then you have to create a text file, from the email, to import to HM.

Did you use the Auto Import? You should never use auto import for bulk imports. That is what Import From Folder/File(s) are for.

I recommend when you do a vacuum that you then stop the postgres service and defrag.

I would suggest you do the majority of the things in this thread: http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11194

Some of the most important things, imo:

- Remove the WinnerName, WinnerCards and WinnerWon from the Options > Hands View Column Selecto
- Turning off logging and deleting existing logs
- Vacuum/Full/Analyze, then Reindex - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=163
- Defrag last and make sure you stop the postgresql service before you defrag. I personally use Smart Defrag.
- Do a Cold Boot (Shut Down > Start) before you use HM again

When I went to enter my password in PgAdmin III I got an error that said "An error has occurred: Error connecting to the server: FATAL: database “template1” does not exist
DETAIL: The database subdirectory “base/1” is missing"

I would honestly suggest you reinstall postgresql using these steps - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20755

That will rename your old \postgresql installation folder if you don't delete it manually. I suggest you delete it manually, to reclaim the HD space.
