I have latest ver. of HM, but I keep getting this error:

The following error occured when trying to open the database: Unable to read data from the tranport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

it then tells me that I need to chase some UAC stuff (but all that is already correctly configured)

I then attempt to connect to my database, but it will not let me giving me the same error.

the only thing I can think of that I have changed since last using HM is updating my windows vista with some service pack through my windows update.

Update to this version http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.06.03h.exe and then try restarting the postgreSQL service http://208.109.95.123/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34

The above solution worked, however the few times I have restarted my computer now, I must "reset" my postgre database or else I get this error.

Not that big of a dea, but will I have to reset it everytime now?

Its usually an issue between your firewall or antivirus or similar program causing it, ive also seen ethernet cards cause this kind of problem too so try and and postgreSQL and All Holdem manager files in the exceptions list and also make sure you have the newest version http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.06.03h.exe
