Hi,
I currently have my HEM database staged on Win XP like 99.9% of people. However, my XP image is becoming decrepid and looking to the future I'd like to make my DB image client OS independent and stage it within my home network.
I have two options available to me:
1. Store the DB files on iscsi targets mounted from the client - connect at disk level over the network with HEM seeing the DB as a local disk.
2. Install postgresql on an esxi virtual machine - connect at DB level.
My question is, has anyone tried doing this? does it work? And what are the issues..?
Regards,
Dave
