View Full Version : HUD won't launch, HEM won't import

So I was using the trial version and everything was working fine. Last night, I bought the small stakes version, launched it today, and it's hit or miss if my table manager pops up. When I re-launch HUD, the table manager pops up but it always says 0/6 players (0 short) and just has 0's the rest of the way across the board. The HUD doesn't even show up at all.

Also, when I try to start import, it just says importing, doesn't actually do anything (not even the green sliding bar) and when I hit stop import, it just says stopping and never actually stops. I'm forced to ctrl+alt+del to get HEM to close even if I close the program itself. All the target folders in the database are correct as well.

Ughhhh!

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories are in English.

Try the table finder - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=54

*If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The "importing\hud data" folder
4) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.

Tried everything else. I'm not sure what you mean by the importing/hud data folder

Tried everything else. I'm not sure what you mean by the importing/hud data folder

\rvg software\holdem manager\importing\hud data is what I was referring to

Please answer the questions and attach your config file as described in step 9. It

Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config.

- If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager.

Before I try anything else, my HUD Data folder is empty.

I have the auto import set to pull hands from the correct folders, and the HH's are saving correctly to the target folders.

Any idea what would cause the HUD Data to be empty?

Please give us the informations Fozzy asked for

1. Version 1.09
2. a.)Stars and I don't know, and I don't play anywhere else, but I'm sure it would because auto import doesn't even go off ans basically freezes the program.
b.) NL MTTs and SNGs
c.) Yes and it does nothing but essentially freeze the program.
3. It worked perfectly fine with the trial version, purchased the small stakes version, entered the registration key, and suddenly it won't work.
4. HH's are being saved to the correct target folder and they are in English
5. Database is not corrupt. Like I said, it worked fine until I purchased the full version.
6. Table finder did not work
7. They're in English
8. It is disabled

Thanks for the help guys. I don't get why purchasing the full version and not touching anything else would cause this. Also, on your UAC FAQ page, you can't scroll down you have to page dn. Not sure if you guys were aware.

Still doing the exact same thing. Click start auto import, it does nothing and shows no import progress, click stop import and it just says stopping... and doesn't actually do anything and still have to ctrl alt del to get the program to close fully.

Then you havent done the 2nd thing I suggested, in my first post.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Is there a way to set them to run as administrator every time? I have been running them as that, but I'm manually going in and right clicking each one individually to open and run them as admin.

I'm using Vista (not Aero) and whatever the standard firewall and anti-virus programs are. Like I said, it was running perfectly until I registered for the full version. I'm not sure if I should be more worried about my HUD not showing up at all, or the fact that my auto import doesn't do anything or show any progress at all, and basically freezes the program.

ughhh fml but thanks for all the help thus far. Much appreciated.

If you Right-Click and choose Run as Administrator that is telling it to only do it this one time.

If you choose Properties instead:

and click on the Compatibilty tab then choose Run this program as an administrator in the Privlege Level box, it will always run that program as administrator.

Thought the tutorial said you didn't want the UAC box checked?

Went through and turned on UAC, rebooted, set the 3 applications to run as admin. Still won't launch a HUD or do any kind of importing. Clicking stop import still freezes the program.
