I had an error message flash up a few days ago (unfortunately I didn't note it). Now whenever I open HEM it is auto-importing without being told to but there are no hands going onto my database.
When I try to shut it down it just reads "stopping" in the button but nothing happens.
I have tried installing the latest patch but this hasn't changed anything.

Probably your database was damaged - try to create a new one to see if it makes a difference: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146

When I open HEM it is Auto-importing straight away, without being prompted to.
I cannot exit out of this as when I press the stop button it just says "Stopping..." and nothing is happening.

Therefore I cannot follow the instructions to create a new database as it won't work when an import is running. When I try to access database management it reads "you can not exit during an import"

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate
