For some reason, I tried opening HEM and get "Holdem Manager has stopped working" error message. I uninstalled using revo and also re installed post sql.
Did everything in the revo uninstall pack and I STILL get this error. I am now thinking about formatting my computer to get this over with.

Any advice?

Which Windows version?

-1 Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

-2 Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe, and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

-3 Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (or later for w7) installed. And your Windows is fully updated

Which firewall / virusscanner?

A format and reinstall will probably help.

HM still won't even launch? You are sure you set all of the files to run as admin?

Which Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Try reinstalling dotnet, and doing another revo reinstall of HM, before you consider a reformat.

Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Download and run this unisntaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe
