Hi I've recently had a couple of rogue programs on my PC antivirus pro and privacy center and since getting rid of them I can't open HM, No error message
when I double click the icon I get no response,(Although task manager shows it running as process) Ive tried with anti virus and fire wall off, it has full access through fire wall, I've restarted postgres service
just wondering if there's anything else I can try before un/reinstalling

Running
windows XP

Anti virus
Mcafee
Malwarebytes anti malware.

Thanks.

You have XP Service Pack 3 and all critical updates installed?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe 1.10 beta 3b

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator.

and reboot..

If that doesn't work.. temporarily uninstall McAfee and try again.

Try the uninstall then: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20816

It doesn't affect your database. Make a copy of your HoldemManager/config folder first though (so it saves your HUD settings)

I have had exactly the same problem - I have also had malware issues recently. See this thread http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=22677

Another user has had the same issue after a malware problem too: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=22221

All the suggested solutions have not worked. Does this throw any light on the matter?

Which files exactly do you get the warnings from?
You should be able to see this in your virusscanner.
