I have installed the latest patch. Got Windows vista. Had problems opening Hm and followed FAQ Ī34. Reinstalled postgresql and so on. Now i can open HM.
Now I Got this message on my screen when i try to view hands in HM:

"An error occured i stage 2.Please report this to support@holdemmanager.net and also send your holdemmanager.config file to use."

What should I do?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe 1.10 beta 3

Under Vista make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (or later for w7) installed.

You have Vista Service Pack 2 installed?
And all the .net framework updates?

Do you have any other program (read: Comodo, ZoneAlarm, Kaspersky) that could block your connection?

Open pgAdminIII, and try to log onto your database postgres/postgrespass
Can it connect to your database? If not try: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=8261

If yes double check if your postgres database, and your HEM database both have the same encoding.

Fuckin weird. Tried to start HM now and it suddenly works. I didnīt do any changes...

Edit:
Seems like Hm is only importing hands that I win preflop. Not every hand as it use to do a week ago.
My result is the same as the EV. The numbers are totally wrong.

Try a new database... maybe your old database is corrupt.
To test that: do a vacuum/analyse on your old database in pgAdminIII... if you get ANY error message during the vacuum/analyse.. it's corrupt.

"My firewall is alowing HM."

Windows Firewall?
Or Comodo?

Your error is weird. Normally it should give a database connection when you click "PostgreSQL 8.3 (port 5432)" not when you're passed that screen, and click the database.

Just install SQL 8.4 on a new port (5433) and UNINSTALL any secondary Firewall program

Windows Firewall?
Or Comodo?.....

I think I see Norton 360 in the tray. Is windows firewall on or off? i agree that you should uninstall any 3rd party security software temporarily and reboot. If you still have the error try a reinstall of Postgresql.

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.4 from this link: http://www.enterprisedb.com/products/pgdownload.do#windows

make sure you enter port 5433 instead of the default 5432 as Pat suggested.

I have reinstalled postgreSQL 8.4 with the new port as u said. Have a new database now.
Everything seems to be working as it should except that HM is only importing hands that I win preflop. Therefore the result is the same as the EV and the result is also totally wrong.
What can I do to make HM import all my played hands?

What site(s) do you play?

Please www.7zip.org the original hands from your \hmarchive and email them to me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread.

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

I play at Unibet/Microgaming. HM imported all hands like a week ago, but then it changed.
My \HMArchive is in my \Holdem Manager directory. Ive checked it.
Strange, my \HMArchive doesnīt contain any files...
Should I send my gamehistory.dat file instead???

HM is unable to archive those .dat files. You need to do it manually. :(

Uncheck "Import from Subfolders" in the auto-import settings.

Move the files in the handhistory folder to your \hmarchive folder and import them via import file or import from folder.

Try a new session with auto-import. A new handhistory file should be generated.

You can zip and email me the file too, if you would like. Please www.7zip.org the file and email it to me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread.

I copied the gamehistory.dat-file (850MB) and put it in the \HMArchive folder. Wrong?
Import from subfolders was already unchecked...
I donīt understand the last thing u wrote in "Move the files..."
Please explaine
Nothing has changed so far.
The hands i win/lose preflop is being imported but not the others...

I wanted you to Cut and Paste, not Copy Paste. That will move the file to the archive and remove the original.

Is it possible zip that file and upload it to a site like megaupload or rapdshare, so I can download it? That is a very large .dat file.

Fozzy

Do you have any solution to my problem?
HM is still not importing all hands. Mostly hands that are won preflopp or flopp. The result is same as EV and itīs totally wrong.

Whats the size of the handhistory file gamehistory.dat in the handhistory folder of the Pokerclient (not in the HMarchive folder)?

Which HM Version are you using?

Please close your pokerclient, delete this file and start with a new one.
As long as this file is so big it will not work.

I'm pretty sure you did sth. wrong. But i think the fastest is a teamviewer session.
Please schedule a remote support session with our support. Email support@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name, so we can setup a Teamviewer (http://www.teamviewer.com) session.
