I had someone else install/setup HEM on my computer for me because frankly I am computer illiterate. My computer runs Vista, and had an update. Post update, I am receiving an error when attempting to log onto HEM.
When I open HEM, it takes me to the Database control panel. This isn't totally uncommon, and usually I just have to click connect and I get taken to HEM. However, now I'm getting an error message "forcibly closed by the host" when I click connect.
After spending many hours going through all the FAQ stuff, I am having the same problem. I've uninstalled/reinstalled PostgreSQL and HEM, added files to my firewall list, turned off my firewalls etc. No progress. I have an idea that I might have the password incorrect though (more like hoping thats what the problem is), and since I'm not the one who installed the program I have no idea what password was set. Is there a way I can reset or retrieve the password for the databasecontrol panel?
