I just installed holdem manager..

How can I import the abbreviations on pokerstars, so that I can directly view what the pre flop raise percentage is. At the moment I only can see numbers.

What does the term "Hero" mean?

You are the HERO.
So setup all your nicknames (if you play on more pokerrooms) as the HERO.

The opponent is often called the VILLAIN.

I don't understand your main question. What abbreviations?
You can already see the PFR percentage in the HUD for every player + the TABLE AVERAGE in the standard HUD. And that is displayed as a number from 0-100%.

hud options > player preferences > appearance > [x] show abbreviations
