Currently I am using PokerTraker3 which uses the same PostgreSQL. I want to change to Holdem Manager. Can I use the same PostgreSQL? Should I just connect to the same PostgreSQL?
What is the best way to setup Holem Manager?
Thanks

Don't change anything with the PostgreSQL settings.
Just install HoldemManager + install the update http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate.exe
Next.... open dbcontrolpanel.exe in the HoldemManager folder.
The default user is postgres on port 5432 (same as with PT3)
the default password is set to postgrespass---> change that to dbpass (the PT3 default password) -->click connect.
And create a new HoldemManager database (you probably should choose a ASCII database). If you get any error in opening HoldemManager, make sure User Account Control is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator.

Thanks for your reply.
How can I import the data from PT3? Then should I delete the PT3 data in the SQL after it is imported?
One way to import the old data, would be to reprocess the old files. I have all the files "processed" in PT3 in a separate folder. I think they are the original files from the poker sites. Not sure? It's a years worth of data so I want to keep it. Should I put the "processed" files into the folder that I have new poker files sent too? Then Holdem Manager can import as new files?
Thanks again

I figured it out & the import is processing ... I think ... it is taking a long time.
