When I woke up this morning and tried to load up HEM there was an error message.

I have installed the latest update (1.10 beta 3b) but am still getting the same error, the error being:

Microsoft .Net Framework
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

The type initializer for '<Module>' threw an exception.

Can you please post the entire details of the error?

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Please try adding exceptions to comodo for HM and postgresql - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174

If that doesnt help uninstall comodo, reboot and test HM. If it works, find a different firewall to use. I personally am just using windows firewall and microsoft security essentials.

Is this something new due to the update?

I have been using this for quite some time with no issues.

It is an intermittent comodo issue. I used to use comodo and had to get rid of it when I had a similar problem. I know other people (2+2'ers) that are still using comodo without problems, but this error:

System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for '<Module>' threw an exception. ---> System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

is very common on our forums, and it is always comodo.
