Hi
Running Win7, uninstalled all firewalls but still running Comodo AV, disabled Windows Firewall, set the 3 .exes in the HEM directory to run as admin (I'm an admin account too) and I get this whenever I launch HEM and it starts "Validating"

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I can paste the rest if necessary, I've tried to find all suggestions on these forums and now I'm making this thread.

Thank you very much in advance for all assistance provided.

Edited to add that I'm running the most recent beta patch, 1.10b02

The problem is caused by the comodo virusscanner.
Kaspersky does the same, there you have to disable heuristic scan and switch on compatibility mode to solve it.
I don't know whether comodo has similar options, if you cant find it you should uninstall comodo.

I turned the AV off, same error. Now I've uninstalled and am going to restart and see if that works.

seems to be working now, thank you very much.

What AV etc. do you recommend personally then? also, is there a guide somewhere for optimising performance in HEM for Win7 or should I just refer to the standard improving performance in HEM tips and then also improving performance in Win7 articles found on the net?

I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, or Avira. We dont have any W7 specific tuning tips.
