Hello, when I try to open HEM I get a message that says:
"An error occurred while reading the config//holdemmanager.config file: Invalid character in the given encoding. Line1, position 1. Holdem Manager will now backup the old config file and create a new one for you." then I click ok and get this message:
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, The application will close immediately." then I get this:
"Cannot create a file when that file already exists".

HEM now looks like it's updating but it's been an hour or so and it's not opening at all.

I also don't understand how any of this could have happened when I didn't do anything out of the norm but get something like this to happen.

With HM closed go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder and delete the HoldemManager.config file and restart HM, also make sure your using version http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.06.03h.exe

It now says:

Could not find the Config\HoldemManager.Config file. Make sure you are running Holdem Manager from the correct directory.

I am having the same problem as the original poster...

I am running windows XP
I am playing exclusively at FT
I am running 1.06.03h

I attempted to delete the following file while HM was closed:
HoldemManager.config
C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder

I attempted to restart the application and now have a windows error message that states:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternative path to a folder containg the installation package "HoldemManagerSetupProject.msi" in the box below.

Please advise.

Thanks!
