I stopped playing poker for a couple of months and the other day decided to play a session but when I try to load HEM, it will load but then shut down and my Norton Antivirus tells me this "Auto-protect has detected Backdoor.Trogan

This never happened before. Is it possible that during my poker absence that a virus has hid itself in my HEM software or could I be getting this message as an error of some sort. Is this happening to anybody else. How should I fix it. Should I just fully delete the HEM and reinstall it? I really didn't want to do that because it took me forever the first time to fully get it up and running.

Everybody had this problem. Make sure you download the latest Norton updates (both program updates and virus definitions).

And update HoldemManager to 1.09.03 http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate.exe

And read this thread (http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20713)

This is a (old) false-positive bug.

Close HEM and your anti-virus and delete any \xenocode\appliance cache folders and any other possible false positive files.

1. Enable "Show hidden files and folders" under Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View
2. Go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Xenocode\Appl iance Cache and delete every folder you can find in there

If you are on XP, that location is C:\Documents and Settings\%USERPROFILE%\Local\Application Data\xenocode\appliance cache

Empty your recycle bin.

reboot
