Hi, I followed all of the directions and installed postgreSQL and hold em manager. When I start up the program it says I have 15 days left on the trial but when I click try it tells me there are issues with my license and tells me I need to register. I've tried all of the various fixes I've found on these forums and no matter what I do the exact same thing happens.

Very unusual. You have never installed HM before? I have forwarded this thread to my colleagues for a reply.

Try to do the following three things:

-1 Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate.exe

-2 Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled - http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm
Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe, port 5432, and your pokerroom (for example fulltiltpoker.exe), even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent

-3 1) Enable the option to see Hidden Files and Disable "Hide protected operating system files" - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html
2) Delete C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\holdemmanager.exe.ldat (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
3) Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

Reboot and start HEM.

Please post a screen shot of the error.

I tried those three things to no avail. Here are the screenshots. When I first open it I see:

Then I see:

http://i48.tinypic.com/144bokj.jpg

If I click go there now it goes to the webpage and closes, and if I hit close it closes.

BTW I'm running it on Windows 7 on a macbook pro if that helps.

You are running a virtual machine with Windows 7 on the macbook?

Is Internet Explorer running in your virtual windows system?
It can be sth. with the network settings you use for the virtual machine

Please check this: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=21121
and this again: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20612

But if that doesn't help i think you should contact support@holdemmanager.net with a link to this thread. It might be necessary to arrange a teamviewer session.

I have this same problem. I thought I had it solved and then it came back. Mods can delete my thread if they wish and post the solution here. Thanks.

Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Download and run this unisntaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe

Eddo1234, did this work for you? I just did it and I still can't run the trial. I think we may be SOL since we are using Windows 7 in bootcamp. If you get this to work, please post your solution. As of right now, I am undecided if I want to buy the license or move on. Thanks.

I would consider trying windows 7 in VMware or Parallels if I know bootcamp is the problem, but I am afraid my Intel Core Duo (NOT core 2 duo) with 2 GB Ram macbook may not be strong enough to run OS X, Windows 7, and HM all at the same time. I would probably only have 1 GB of RAM dedicated to windows 7, and my machine cannot add any more.

FYI, how is your internet connectivity in windows 7/bootcamp? I seem to be always at 98% when sitting at the tables, and get a few annoying lags every session, regardless if I am wireless or jacked in.
