Alright so now when I start holdem manager it says holdem manager has stopped working. I have UAC off, Secondary Logon service is running, and firewall is down.

When I use windows explorer and locate the HUD and HEM exe files and right click them and click run as administrator, they start up automatically but I get the same error message.

Which anti-virus?

Under Windows 7 you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe to be started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executable's and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate.exe

You may want to try a clean reinstall if that doesnt help - http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20816
