Hi,

I buy a new computer whit windows 7 64bit.
I have more than 5 million hands in my old computer running in windows xp 32 bit.

I can backup my database from the old computer and restore in new or i need to reimport all hands to new?

I'm asking this becouse windows are different (32 as 64bit).
The database is the same for two types?

Sorry for poor english.
Regards,
André Rairan.

You should make a backup of the database and export all hands as 2nd level backup.

For some users the restore of a database on a new computer fails, thats why you should export the hands too.

When restoring the database on the new computer create a new empty database via pgadmin using the same Coding (SQL_ASCII i think) as on the old one.
