I cannot select a player

I have just installed HM on a win7 computer. I Allready had Postgres installed because I have PT3. I used the same logon and password I used with PT3. I exported my HH from PT3 and imported them into HM. It won't let me select a player see below. What do I do to fix this?

1) Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Software and uninstall every Microsoft .NET Framework you can find in the list

Thanks Patvs I am downloading the file but there are no Microsoft .NET Framework's listed in Programs and Features.

I checked Windows Update and could not find any installations so I assume one hasn't been installed. Would that be correct? Is it there by default in win7?

I use Net Framework 4 beta 2 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=DED875C8-FE5E-4CC9-B973-2171B61FE982&displaylang=en) on my Windows 7 computer (there also is a 64bit version, if you have a 64bit Windows)

I don't know what the default version is that is installed on Windows 7. Maybe 2.0. But even on VISTA where .Net 3.5 can be found with the Windows UPDATE it causes problems if it's not installed with a clean install.

When you first changed your .Net framwork did you just download and install it? Or did you find and uninstall and earlier version in win7? If so how?

.net Framework is not the reason for this error.

Just click directly on the Change button and not on the arrow besides.

It doesn't list any players although on the players tab it says (2161) which i assume is the number of players listed in the db.

No it is not the original error but it is now occurring every time I start HM. I did what you said but no joy.

I don't know how to do a screen shot but it occurs as i said a popup box comes up and it says "An error occurred when retrieving the player list: Data Exception." and that's it.

As for the the Cash Game tab/Change it is empty. But the Players tab has (2161) in it and I can run a report which lists players.

The Cash Game/Change down arrow gives the original error in the first post.

For taking a screenshot please use Google - you should find lots of sites explaining it which is possibly better than me explaining it. In general its just pressing the Print button and copy the clipboard to a file (for example via Paint).

And about the Change button: when you click directly on change (not on the arrow) a new window opens where you have to enter the first characters of a player name. Then you will get a list of available players for this.
